Earnlings Terms of Service

Effective date: July 9, 2026

These terms are an agreement between you and Kelton Kremer ("Earnlings," "we") for use of the Earnlings app.

1. Family accounts

• A parent or legal guardian creates the family account and is the account holder for the family.
• Child accounts exist only within a parent's family, joined with the parent's invite code and confirmed by the parent in the app. The parent is responsible for their children's use of the app and consents to our collection of their children's information as described in the Privacy Policy.
• You agree to provide accurate information and keep your credentials secure. Accounts are for your household's personal, non-commercial use.

2. Not a financial service

Earnlings is a family organization and education tool, not a bank, money transmitter, investment service, or financial adviser:

• Real-money amounts in the app are records, not funds. When a child "earns" or "cashes out" dollars, the app is tracking an arrangement between parent and child; **the parent pays the child directly** (cash, Venmo, an item). Earnlings never holds, transfers, or processes money.
• Sproutlings are an in-app play currency with no cash value, no purchase path, and no redemption outside features the parent configures.
• The Invest section is a simulation using play currency and a fictional market. It is educational practice, not investment advice, and involves no real securities or money.
• Interest, bonuses, and fees shown in the app are parent-configured teaching tools, funded (if at all) by the parent.

3. Acceptable use

Don't use Earnlings to break the law, harass others, upload content you don't have rights to, probe or disrupt the service, or access other families' data. Family chat and shared content should be appropriate for children — parents can remove any family member's messages.

4. Your content

Your family keeps ownership of the content it creates (messages, photos, reflections, tasks). You give us the limited license needed to store, display, and process it to run the app for your family (including generating the optional AI parent report, per the Privacy Policy).

5. Subscriptions

Some features (e.g., the AI parent report) require a paid tier. Billing, renewal, and cancellation are handled through the App Store under Apple's terms.

6. Termination and deletion

You can delete your account (and parents can delete their children's accounts) in the app at any time. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms. Sections that by their nature survive (your content rights, disclaimers, limitation of liability) survive termination.

7. Disclaimers and limitation of liability

Earnlings is provided "as is." We don't warrant uninterrupted or error-free operation. Parenting outcomes are — happily — up to your family, not the app. To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

8. Changes

We may update these terms; material changes will be announced in the app before taking effect. Continued use after the effective date is acceptance.
